This year is shaping up to be a volatile for the tech sector. But I agree with this first article, Three tech trends on the verge of a breakthrough in 2023, that demand for tech is not going away despite recent tech job cuts. There is still much work to be done, including in three big consumer tech trends discussed in the article.
Ambient computing, with the idea of blending computing power into our everyday lives, is an interesting area. Is the future a form of mixed reality including Virtual Reality (VR) like the metaverse or new methods of interacting with devices? “The metaverse isn’t even here yet – but ambient computing is already very real”, makes me think about how these ideas can be used to create more seamless experiences.
There is no question that “Generative AI will impact every tool out there”. As a lover of space and dogs, I used Stable Diffusion to generate the artwork for a dog Thanksgiving in space. That is just the beginning of where this technology will be used in the near future.
